Hello,

I'm Stacey and I've been with the Poetry Barn (now the Academy of Intentional Magic) for a very, very long time, as a student and as a teaching artist. I've got a fairy tale-inspired collection of poetry, Sweetbitter, out from Sundress Publications, and a fabulist chapbook of poems, Jackalope-Girl Learns to Speak, out from dancing girl press. The material we'll read together brought these books out of me, and I hope you draw inspiration from the weeks ahead!

I have a deep love for fairy tales, and for imaginative writing in general. Fall--especially October--seems to amplify the imaginative urge in me and my writing, and so I'm so glad to be in this course with you this month! The veil is thinning and the magic is beginning to seep in.
