about

Poet, Artist, Herder of Cats

Caregiver, wife, sister, friend

I’m a poet, publisher, fledgling visual artist, musician, and the founder of the Poetry Barn in the Catskills—a pollinator habitat for creative practice (and, yes, an actual barn full of books).

I’m also the artistic director of AIM Higher, Inc., a nonprofit operating as the Academy of Intentional Magic—an evolving home for art, imagination, and mystery.

My books—The Whispering Wall, Two Faint Lines in the Violet, and Glass Needles & Goose Quills—trace the fault line between inner life and outer world, and the strange music language makes there.

When I’m not writing or teaching, you’ll usually find me wandering forest paths, helping at a horse rescue farm, tending my art journal, or playing the flute—to the trees, and occasionally to a small, unimpressed group of cats.
